10 Steps To Begin Your Own Exam Schedule A1 Business

Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The official list below only shows time periods that are reserved, not confirmed exams. Please confirm with your instructor whether or not your course will be taking its final exam within this period.

Be sure to read the Goethe exam rules and conditions and guidelines on each exam's page prior to you register. Register for the appropriate level of the exam.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification tests. Exam pages for each exam are available for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam material. If you require special accommodations due to a chronic illness, hearing or visual impairment, contact the exam provider directly and be sure to provide a detailed document upon registration.

Faculty may find their exam times by using the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for those classes that must have an exam by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes in the evening are scheduled during the regular class times of the final exam weeks.

Registration

Students are encouraged to look up the exam schedule online. It is important to note that the schedule for exams may change at any moment. For this reason, students should check with their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also be certain to print the official list and bring it for their exams.

In addition to the exam schedule, students must familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines, the terms and conditions. These are available on the exam's individual page. Upon registration, students acknowledge that they agree to these terms and conditions.

Exam locations make every effort to accommodate participants with special requirements. The nature and severity of these needs should be noted on the registration form and verified by an attestation from a doctor. In addition the exam sites must respect and maintain confidentiality.

If a student is scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they must contact their instructor or department to schedule a retake test. It is possible to take three exams on the same day. However, this could lead to a high level of stress and impact the quality of the exam. The professor might not be able to offer a makeup test on another day.

Students must go through their course material before taking the exam and practice their German skills. The test is a paper-based test that tests the ability to speak, read, and write in German. The examination results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence that is set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The examination is free of cost. Students must carry an ID that is valid for government purposes to the exam. If they do not present a valid photo ID will be disqualified from taking the exam.


Fees

You'll need to pay a fee for the examination in order to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the course fee.

Practice tests give you an overview of the style of the questions, their wording and the difficulty of questions on the exam. They help you assess your knowledge, identify gaps and improve your chances of acing the exam.

Please note that the examination fee isn't refundable. Exam results are only available via email and not by phone.
